The deadline for the standard registration for the contest is September 30, and the late one – October 10th. Participating in the competition will contribute to the professional development and recognition of those involved.

The assessment approach for the Dibla Design Awards is unmatched in the country. The prizes are awarded to projects and designers from all over the country by a prestigious international jury. It consists of prominent Bulgarian and foreign designers, architects, lecturers from the most prestigious institutes in Europe, emblematic representatives of the business circles, people with proven taste, authority and public reputation. The members are recognized and highly appreciated experienced experts from three continents, coming from Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Ukraine and Venezuela. This guarantees the high level of the competition and the prestige of the awards, making the Dibla Design Awards the most significant awards in Bulgaria in the field of interior design.
Dibla team has asked three of the jury members to share their views on modern design, development prospects, and give valuable guidance to candidates.

Hasegawa Aoi is part of the jury for the second year. Dibla team highly values her experience as Interior Design Master in Domus Academy, Italy, as well as her numerous interior solutions combining her knowledge of light composition and combining different materials.

Which category do you find the most challenging? And which – the most promising and why?

For me, the most challenging category is residential, because it is generally more classical and less innovative. The architect must take into account the needs of the client. At the same time, housing projects can be quite radical and progressive, as long as only the designer has a different approach and analyzes the behavior and the needs of his clients.
As for the most promising category, in the last year’s edition of the competition I noticed really interesting and original performances in the workplaces category. The work environment is changing dramatically globally, and this  is the category that can accurately reflect the present.

Christian Duyckaerts FESPA’s president, director and founder of Retail Communicators, a visual communication specialist working with a number of world-renowned brands. CEO and co-owner of two of Belgium’s largest printing companies.

What are the perspectives that interior gives for the development of contemporary graphics and printing?
Interior design gives life to modern graphics and printing. We live in a world of personalization where people want to feel different, brands want to look different, the personal experience of the client is crucial in the competition between physical and online stores. Interior design adds value to the press, and in return printing offers unlimited technical and original solutions.

Ivo Dimitrov is the face behind some of the most successful and popular projects and initiatives of the Platform. The arsenal of diverse knowledge gained from his experience as a consultant and mediator in the interaction between administrative, cultural and business organizations and institutions (including in the furniture industry) in Bulgaria and China certainly helped him for all realized original ideas and solutions.

You have been part of the Platform since its beginning – what do you think has supported the appearance of the Dibla Design Awards?
Right from the beginning, our ambition was to support the design profession, to find new horizons for the best professionals in the sector and make the industry professionally stable, and the environment in which we all live, work and relax – more enjoyable and comfortable. DDA has naturally emerged as a wreath for our work over the years. The awards show the level of design, we  give honour tо some of the most remarkable artists in the industry, we strive to give all colleagues a motive to work professionally, with enthusiasm and self-esteem.
