In 2019, IFFS will be held from 9 to 12 March in the impressive Marina Bay Sands Expo in the heart of Singapore. The very building of the building itself is an occasion to visit the country. Its construction costs nearly $ 6 billion. The project is the work of architect Moshe Safdie and the American building developer Las Vegas Sands. It is home to the most expensive hotel in the world – Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Undoubtedly, it is best known for its infinity-edge rooftop pool, which offers a unique view of the modern city. Sands Expo and Convention Centre is strategically located at the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District. Witness stunning and picturesque views, state-of-the-art facilities, and top-notch entertainment, shopping, dining, arts and culture options.
IFFS brings together a portfolio of high-end exhibitors from nearly 30 countries, offering an exclusive and comprehensive range of furnishings inspired by contemporary design and trends. Organizers expect more than 19,000 international merchants and visitors from over 90 countries. They all unite from the idea of new business opportunities.
Today, 55% of the world’s population lives in urban areas, with the rate expected to increase to 60% by 2030 and to 68% by 2050. IFFS 2019 presents a new way of transforming tomorrow’s urban life and caring for evolving tastes with the theme of this year’s exhibition – “UrbanAsia – the future of urban life”. Thus organizers identify key trends, key challenges and sustainable solutions for the ever-growing urban population.Every visitor to the exhibition will be able to look at a wide range of furnishings and equipment, presented in a total of six modernly equipped halls representing nearly 400 exhibitors, driven mainly by the trends towards the better urban living through the production of better and more efficient products.
Together with the title of “Creative City of Design” by UNESCO, Singapore follows its policy of fostering international cooperation and the sharing of experience by embracing design and creativity as a strategic factor.
